Andy Warhol is famously known for his pop art series of work such as the Campbell's soup tin and portraits I really like pop art as its very creative and bold these are a few examples.

This is a portrait of Pink the famous singer this is a creative piece of work,  I like the bold clashing colours within this image it helps to make it stand out.

Lisa Kokin

 

 

This caught my eye the way that Lisa Kokin has made this realistic branches and leaves made out of thread.

Lisa Kokin uses a wide range of pathways such as fine art, and sculpture and textiles to I really like how the creative all the work she produces and they all stand out clearly to what techniques shes has used to produce the final piece of work.

Robert Rauschenberg.

 

 

 

This is one of Robert Rauchenbergs fine art pieces of work it really stood out to me and caught my eye as it shows a lot of texture within this piece such as the material which blends in with the background as its been painted and smudged and drip painted to add to the texture of this.

 

 

 

Robert Rauschenberg is well known for layering all different types of materials such as papers, paint and pieces of scrap papers and textured images.

 

 

 

 

 John Stezaker.

John Stezaker is famous for portraiture of using photographs but combining two or more different pieces of the image to make one face back up but in a strange way they look right.



 

 

 As you can see he has used two different photographs one female and one male and stuck them together to make one but in the right per potion.





This is another one that caught my eye this is very unique as its a male and female and a landscape photograph in the middle, this is really astatically pleasing and unique and creative.

Rosemary Milner:

 

 

This is one of Rosemary Milner's Surface design pattern I chose this pattern as it really caught my eye as it has very delicate colours and a nice smooth looking texture to the pattern. also as I based my work on the hare this bird would match in within  my work. This is quite old fashion new fashion design.

Maxine Sutton:

 

 

Maxine Sutton is a textile artist who creates interior designs, she does this by using a range of different techniques these being screen printing and embroidered texture, colours, mark ,drawn and stitched lines.

 

 

 

 This piece of work which Maxine Suttons shows a lot of texture and shows the techniques she uses well such as the stitching  embroidery and using different materials to make up the finished piece of work which looks astatically pleasing.

Pathway: screen printing


Thursday morning in roundabouts I did screen printing with kim, i enjoyed this but wasn't too sure about perusing this as it wasn't for me but i enjoyed the introduction to it, i made a few prints.

1) you gave an image to kim to enlarge and stretch on to the screen.
2) you chose the materials you wanted to use to print on to such as:

      : Old photographs

:Film paper

: Tracing paper

: coloured cards

:Cotton

* any other materials can be used but without big gaps in cause they need to be flat.

3) then you mix the screen printing paste and the colour of paint you want to use.

4) you place the material you chose to print on to underneath the screen printing board then you apply paint in a thick line at the top of the print and then use the rubber spatula to evenly move the paint firmly across the screen covering your image to produce your screen print.

I really enjoyed Thursday afternoon with jo in visual communications, we used our images that we had made black and white using photo shop in the previous lesson on Tuesday and cut into them removing either the black or white areas then holding them up and shining light through them to cast a shadow on to a white background then photographing the shadow.

In the Visual communications Jo went through a powerpoint that was full of other peoples examples of there work to give us an a quick insight in to what you can achieve and what vis comms are.

I wasn't quite sure about visual communication as it is such a wide range of subjects brung into one I think I will need more time so I will come back into this roundabout just to experiment and also when I go down photography path way I might need some form of visual communications to complete a high standard of work.

We also used photo shop to create our image in to black and white using the threshold and adding and reducing the contrast ready for kims lesson on Thursday for screen printing,
I also then experimented using the same image but
I chose to  make thin white lines ready for working into it on Thursday in my last part of this roundabout.
This is my chosen image printed on asotape.
